Superbottoms Cover Diaper Review

A lot of you have asked me why I invest in Cover diapers when you can do so with AIO and that’s when I realised I have not yet talked about Cover diapers in detail.
Reviewing the Superbottoms Cover Diaper Gully Cricket in this post. But first, about the brand-


SuperBottoms – The Brand

An Indian Brand that is run by an all-time team. It is India's first CPSIA(Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act) certified brand. Their diapers are Super Trim (30% trimmer than other brands) and quite affordable too. They sell diapers in New Born and free/one sizes.



SuperBottoms Cover Diaper

Cover Diapers are diapers with water resistant outer cover and removable soakers inside. The soaker is made of a dry feel micro-suede layer on top which is safe for baby's skin as it gives the baby's skin dry of urine. Cover diapers are best for day time as baby pees more when awake.
Once the soaker/insert is full, you can change the pad and reuse the outer cover.  However do note to use a washed soaker after every change. The Cover can be reused without washing but the soaker shouldn’t.





Why is Cover Diaper ideal? 
• Dry feel soaker- as mention earlier the Superbottoms Cover Diaper comes with a dry feel soaker which prevents the baby's skin feeling wet inspite of urinating.
• Versatile: The Cover Diapers can be used with nappy pads, prefolds or homemade flats too.
• Adjustable size:  The one size diapers fit babies from 5kgs till 17kgs (so till the baby is 2-2.5 years old). The diapers have snaps to adjust to the size.
• Economical: These are economical in the sense that you can buy a pair of cover diaper and a bunch of soakers and you are set for the entire day of cloth diapering for months.




Print
The print, in the pictures , is called Gully Cricket. It is has quite bright colours and very much depicts the Indian street cricket precisely.. They have variety of prints, which are quirky and Indianised. They have recently restocked their Cover diapers.

Fit
SuperBottoms Cover Diaper has 12 snaps in front, 4 rows with 3 in each row,  meant for reducing size. The size must be such that there are NO GAPS around the thigh. The fit is very important to ensure No leakage. The elastics are narrow and stay fit at the waist and tights without leaving any marks.
They are generously sized for larger babies too.





My take –
• They are easy to use. We change only the soaker and repeat the Cover with a fresh soaker. However, wash the Cover if the baby has pooped in.
• Once the right fit is snapped they are snug and leak proof
• The Suede layer on top is Dry feel layer which does not let the baby feel wet.
• 100 % washable and machine washable too, which makes it very easy to maintain.
• They do not take much time to dry, as compared to other brands, and can be fan dried. But I recommend Sun-drying aa it’s an excellent disinfectant.
• The diaper is quite breathable and definitely prevents rashes.








Note :
The diaper has to be prepped before using it. Ensure that you wash it atleast 3-4 times to  reach to its full absorbency. It only gets better with each use.
Make sure you snap the diaper for perfect fit or else it will look bulky. However, it won’t affect its functionality.
