Mama Earth Dusting Powder for Babies

Image
As I posted earlier, why I do not use talcum powder for my kids and how harmful they are for their skin and respiratory system. But recently, I received this Mamaearth Dusting Powder for babies and I was skeptical to use it. But when I opened the lid and poured little powder in my hand. I did realize that this is different💮💮. The texture is not likely to make a dust cloud and looks like an organic flour which is a thumbs up for me. . So why is this powder different? 🌼Made of Organic Ingredients: It contains arrowroot podwer, cornm starch, lavender oil, oatmeal and chamomile oil. These ingredients are 100% natural and organic. Organic arrowroot powder and oat starch absorb excess moisture from baby’s body making skin soft and silky. 🌼It helps in keeping the skin dry and prevents irritation on the skin. Since the skin is protected, it also helps in preventing diaper rashes when applied before wearing diapers. . 🌼It is dermatologically tested and antimicrobial. Contai

Tips for haircut for toddler

Getting a haircut for Yuv is like prepping for a mini war. He had sensory issues which also made him not liking anything on his skin. The touch of comb, scissor or razor makes him ich. He cries his lung out and it becomes very difficult for us to hold him tight. But with therapies, his condition has improved and now he is okay with scissors and comb but razors still create a problem. So how do we manage haircut every month? (Yuv's hairs grow  very fast and we have to go through this every month) Tips for haircut for toddler-  ✂️Bring a change of clothes. Benefits of babywearing to babies

Image
Parents, ever notice how your babies, who’re about to cry into tears when placed in the stroller, in the crib, or in the car seat, calm up immediately when you decide to carry them? Non-parents, ever notice how those screaming babies who annoy you in public places become quiet once their parent/caregiver picks them up. The baby stops crying, or maybe never even starts. For ages, women carried their babies on them. Only few had the luxury of keeping nannies to carry their babies. Strollers came later, and was considered a thing for West and unsuitable for the bumpy Indian roads. Our great grandma’s, grandma’s and may be our moms too, carried babies in a wrap made of saree or a long piece of cloth. Modern baby carrying or Kangaroo Carrying, as some may call, has become classy, sassy and sometimes fashion statement. There are dozens of prints, various designs in which one carry’s the baby. If you are still hesitant about babywearing, though read this blog for why you should cons

Why should Dads babywear their babies?

Image
Babywearing has been the new parenting mantra and has been accepted widely. But still there are stigmas with babywearing associated only with mothers and they are the main babywearers. You can see many brands promote them mainly to mothers as they seem to be the right target. But this is also changing and many dads also babywears their babies. My husband who always carried Yuv (on the arms, since we did not  know about babywearing then) to me have some off time from carrying him, was quite skeptical of carrying J in a carrier. He, as many dads do, thought babywearing was a girly thing and has only girly prints. Then we got this Moonstone Gradient Anoona from Soul Slings and the first thing he said when he saw was ' let me try this'. He loved the idea of babywearing and soon became a regular. Here are my reasons why every dad should babywear their babies: Bonding   Babywearing gets you up close and personal to your babies. It is getting closest to your baby af
